I just know I don't want

Some expressions sound better in a particular language or may be that certain sounds more emphatic in some languages, so for my particular feeling "I just know I don’t want"(in english) sums up my current mood Or should I say momentary?, since this could change in two days, a couple of hours, the next few minutes ... hahaha

The starting of something, when it is difficult to know what you want or you’re looking definitely (with all the trials and errors involved) clear about what you don’t want it’s shows your way.

(Nicholas Gurewitch)

How to express it?

For example, in my working life I want to be recognized, valued or even honored for my work? maybe, perhaps, (and why not .. lol) but what I am sure of is that I don’t want to be pushed over, I don’t want live to work my entire life, don’t want to end my days as a slave of a routine clerk with a retirement cruise at the end of the road (or a boat ride through the port depending on the resources ... Hahaha). And all that I do is not want to define a course of action as valid as those sustained by desires, dreams ... etc.

Some people may say that negative construct sentences implies a degree of pessimism, which provides less strength to the ideals to follow, etc.. False, I think in this society is much more difficult to say no, so you won’t be left like the one giving bad vibes or because there are people that ask incredible inserted things with fake smiles to make you feel guilty for not accepting.

- Can you stay and finish after hours? (Free Of course, no overtime pay)

- Can I pay you next week? (Or next month)

- Can you come on Saturday? (Please, remember that please stands for free)

- There’s a designer who charges me fifty thousand dollars for the same work (so then, let him do it no?)

We must learn to say no, ask for things with a smile and not take advantage of anyone, nor mourn excuses. I get tired of repeating it to my colleagues, friends and others. We will never be taken seriously as professionals in the world if we undervalue our work. It doesn’t mean we don’t accomplish our goals, under certain circumstances, projects that will report low income, but lots of personal satisfaction, but from there to go to so many employers endorsing advantage that’s all they are looking for personal gain ... great distance.

Don’t matter if you have not yet chosen your final path towards this discipline or in life, but always travel away from the route you do not want to go. Define what you want is also a part of our final consecution achievements.

Desempolvando recuerdos / Dusting off Memories

This weekend, and because of the holiday, I was in my mother's house. I have to clarify that in my case there is no "family home" since we have always had somewhat of nomadic childhood and they were varied and are in different latitudes, therefore we have no attachment to the walls.

Finally, the product of that desire for change of place, half of our tangible memories was locked up in dusty boxes, lost in dilapidated basements, forgotten in stale corners. In some occasions, after years, some remember - What has become of this collection of illustrated stories that Santa Claus gave me when I learned to read?, Where are kept the drawings of kindergarten that mother stored in the Library?, What was of the collection of stamps that we inherited from grandpa?

It might be Some things may no longer exist or rest in a landfill waiting for centuries to disappear, however this weekend my mom was waiting for me with a cardboard box (and one of those big boxes in which import bananas) full, and should read FULL of things that once were mine, my diary, birthday invitations, Christmas cards, labels, candy papers, letters, writings, graphic novels, agendas, gifts and many and indescribable objects.

And what do I do with these "belongings"? No family house where to save them "forever" (as in American movies where your parents intact left your room where you can sleep when you visit ... hahaha) I gave myself the daunting task of checking and saving what I want to bring to my own apartment in Stgo. Futile task for me, every time i took something I was assailed by a memory lost. I laughed many hours, so did my brothers, reading letters, cards and events of the past, while sitting in the garden.

I took some things (my diary of 7 years old, letters from my brothers when I went to college, my first novel illustrated at 10 ... hahaha and my collection of labels) and left the closed box without deciding to throw away with unchecked content (Mom please don’t let it get wet if it rains!)

Finally I believe that will rescue a few moments of inspiration (that I can store on my Mac) and keep one or other memories, but I can’t bring all those things to my apartment (modern life is bounded spaces), or to pretend that my mother will move around the world with my box.
Anyway the main memories are engraved in my memory.
